To ensure that every product we send out is in top condition, exchanges/returns must be in their original condition, still new and unwashed with all interior tags intact. Please wait to try on your items until after your baby is born.  At that time you can confirm the fit before washing.

Tips to Confirm an Exchange Is Needed

Many mamas think they need a bigger size than they actually do.  We are happy to exchange your Soothe Shirt if you need it!  But would hate for you to exchange it for a larger size only to realize you had the right size to begin with.  Here are some tips to help prevent this:

  • Don’t try your Soothe Shirt on while pregnant. This will lead you to think you need a larger size than you really do (even when you are in your first or second trimester). Please wait until your baby is born to try it on.

  • It may be difficult to get on, this doesn’t mean you have the wrong size. Keep pulling down until the elastic band fits comfortably underneath your breasts. You may even lift your breasts up and over the elastic band. The Soothe Shirt needs to fit snug for the pouch to hold the baby correctly.

  • Don’t size up to get a bigger pouch. The pouch size is the same across Soothe Shirt sizes. Your baby will gain a bigger pouch as your postpartum tummy shrinks back to your pre-pregnancy size. As your baby grows, you shrink.

So how should it fit?  Your Soothe Shirt should fit snug and be tight immediately postpartum.

Here’s how to make sure you have the best size

Your shirt fits well when...

  • It’s tight to get on, but comfortable once in place and wearing.

  • You can pull the nursing panels around your breasts to nurse.

  • Your baby is held in the pouch with their head on your chest above your breasts.

Your shirt is too small when...

  • The elastic band goes across your bust and won’t fit underneath. Try lifting your breasts above it and then pulling the shirt down.

  • You can’t fit a nursing panel around your breast to nurse.

  • It feels uncomfortably tight while wearing.

Your shirt is too big when...

  • You have to wear a tank or bra under your Soothe Shirt because the v-neck sinks too low when your baby is in the pouch.

  • The arm holes pull down substantially when your baby is in the pouch.

  • Your baby’s head sits below your bust while in the pouch. Their head should be between your breasts and close enough to kiss.


How to Exchange

All exchanges need to be initiated through our system using the buttons below. If you send an item back to us without setting it up in the system below we will not have the information to process your exchange.

Our primary method of exchange has you place a new order so you can claim a unit from our current inventory and have it ship out to you right away.  You are then refunded for the value of the duplicate order once your original items arrive back to us. However, if you would like to exchange without having to place a temporary charge for a new order, you can use our return for a store credit option. In this case you will need to wait until we receive back and process your initial returned unit before getting a store credit to place your new order. This usually takes 7 to 14 days from when you place your original items back in the mail to us. You can avoid the extra wait by using our primary exchange method of placing a new order right away.

US Exchanges

  1. Please start an exchange using the button below. You will be provided with a pre-paid USPS shipping label. Please print it out.

  2. Place a new order at lalabu.com. This new order should include the items you are exchanging for. Placing the new order allows your new item(s) to ship right away and to ensure you select new items from what we currently have in stock. You will provide this new order number when requesting your pre-paid exchange label below.

  3. Pack the items you’re sending back in the original package (if possible). Please ship the items back with the pre-paid shipping label. Your pre-paid label has all of your information embedded for us to access, so to save waste please do not provide any additional printed paperwork.

  4. A refund for your returned items will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days of our receiving your package less a $5.00 per item exchange fee.

By default we will refund your original order once we receive it back. If, in the case of a gift or special promotion, you want us to refund your new order instead, you can include this request along with your new order number when requesting your pre-paid shipping label.

 

Canadian Exchanges

  1. Please start an exchange using the button below.

  2. Place a new order at lalabu.com. This new order should include the items you are exchanging for. Placing the new order allows your new items to ship right away and to ensure you select new items from what we currently have in stock. You will provide this new order number when setting up your exchange below.

  3. Pack the items you’re sending back in the original package (if possible).

  4. Select your own method of shipping and have packages sent to the address below. Please use a shipping method with tracking. We cannot be responsible for packages that do not arrive back to us.

  5. A refund for your returned items will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days of our receiving your package.
